BIG LAUNCH NIGHT FOR CHISWICK CINEMA

Trafalgar Entertainment’s Joint CEO’s Sir Howard Panter and Dame Rosemary Squire welcomed legendary Oscar-winning producer David Puttnam and VP of BAFTA and TE Advisory Board Chairman Greg Dyke to officially open The Chiswick Cinema last week.

Other guests included Jeremy Vine, film critic Jason Solomons, Sky News presenter Gillian Joseph, Susan Hampshire and Phyllis Logan.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, invites were strictly limited, but special guests were welcomed to two separate VIP drinks receptions and two private screenings of the acclaimed 2021 musical drama film, In the Heights.

The cinema is now open to the public and film fans can experience the magic of cinema for the first time in Chiswick since 1934.

The opening of The Chiswick Cinema, complete with its exclusive Private Members’ Club, also marks another major milestone for Trafalgar Entertainment as it becomes TE’s first cinema complex.

It seems that The Chiswick Cinema has gone down a storm on social media too! Victoria Todd said: “What an architectural feast for the eyes! Just what Chiswick needed to help us recover from these bleak locked down months. Can’t wait to experience the magic on the screen.”

Mil Gjoni added: “How beautiful. I can’t wait to visit my new local.” Jeannie Shapiro was also full of praise and said: “Congratulations to all at The Chiswick Cinema. You’ve made Chiswick a very happy and even better place to live!”

Chris Ward said: “Good to see creative cinema concepts like this. It’s important to our industry.” Juan Alberto Pujol Vasquez, Head of Marketing at Sony Entertainment Pictures, simply said: “Evolution!”

Meanwhile, Vincent Jervis from Trafalgar Releasing concluded: “Happy to confirm that the food and drink is equally amazing as the architecture.”
