IT’S OFFICIAL! ANYTHING GOES REMAINS THE BEST SHOW IN TOWN!

The 5-star reviews have started to pour in for Anything Goes following its press night this week (13 July) as the smash hit show returned to London’s Barbican Theatre for a second summer season.

Leading the pack is a stellar five-star review from Clive Davis at The Times. He starts by saying, No question about it: this remains the best show in town,” and concludes that Anything Goes is “an unmissable evening.”

The Daily Express said, “This marvellous musical remains shipshape in Kathleen Marshall’s second razzle-dazzle revival”, while Veronica Lee writing for the Daily Mail said she stopped taking notes 20 minutes into the show “because nothing sums it up better than the refrain from one of its famous numbers, ‘It’s delightful, it’s delicious, it’s de-lovely!”

In another 5-star review, Attitude said “This delightful, delicious, de-lovely show is this summer’s must-see-again”, while the Evening Standard said, “It went, it came back, and it’s still an all-conquering joy.” And City AM went on to say, “All aboard! This is a five-star musical thrill ride.”

And the blue carpet was rolled out once again to welcome special guests including global film star Ewan McGregor, supporting his uncle Denis Lawson (who stars in the show), Zoë Wanamaker, Anneka Rice, Gawn Grainger, Stephanie Beecham, Fay Ripley, Adam Woodyatt and Nigel Havers.

Following its award-winning, record-breaking, sell-out run at the Barbican Theatre last year, Anything Goes has well and truly returned with a bang for summer 2022.

Super charged, with a brand-new cast of theatre and acting royalty including Kerry Ellis (Reno), Simon Callow (Whitney), Dennis Lawson (Moonface) and Bonnie Langford (Mrs. Harcourt), the show also welcomes back returning cast members including the award-winning Carly Mercedes DyerHaydn OakleyNicole-Lily and Samuel Edwards.

This major revival of Cole Porter & P.G. Wodehouse’s lavish musical comedy takes you back to the Golden Age of high society on the seas from the comfort of your seat.

And as temperatures soar, audiences can stay cool and enjoy the fully air-conditioned auditorium at the Barbican Theatre!
