ESCAPE TO THE SOUTH PACIFIC

Jonathan Church Theatre Productions is co-producing the Chichester Festival Theatre’s critically acclaimed, landmark production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific. The production opened in Manchester over the weekend (16 July), and will transfer to Sadler’s Wells in London on 27 July.

From September, the show will tour the UK and Ireland visiting Dublin, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Canterbury.

This powerful love story, set on a South Pacific Island during World War II, is brought thrillingly to life in an epic new five-star production directed by Chichester Festival Theatre’s Artistic Director Daniel Evans (Me and My Girl and Fiddler on the Roof).

Julian Ovenden and Gina Beck reprise their roles from the Chichester Festival Theatre production and lead a sensational cast of over thirty including Rob HouchenJoanna Ampil and Sera Maehara. Complete with a full orchestra, this ravishing musical is set to be one of the must-see theatrical events of the year.

Boasting one of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most memorable scores, this much-loved Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical features songs such as Some Enchanted EveningI’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair and Bali Ha’i.
